From time-to-time, we hear our clients say, "We already have a big home. We want a small log cottage for a getaway home." With this in mind, we asked our in-house design team to create a smaller home floor plan that has many amenities of a larger home. This smaller ranch-style home has vaulted ceilings, a first-floor master bedroom suite, a first-floor laundry area, a big island in the kitchen, two bathrooms, and ample open-concept Great Room and dining areas. If you decide that you want more space, it would be easy to add more bedrooms and bathrooms to the basement. If desired, we can easily adjust this floor plan for timber-frame or a custom timber-style home.
