Explore our gorgeous Lakehouse Floor Plan, one of our popular luxury log homes that is architecturally designed to provide awe-inspiring views with jaw-dropping attention to detail. If your property is near a body of water, this lakefront house plan is the perfect design that will blend seamlessly with nature. This log cabin floor plan features natural materials, including logs, timber, and stone.
Part of our Lakehouse series, the Lakehouse Floor Plan is designed for entertaining family and friends. This lakehouse design features an open concept kitchen, dining room, and great room area with patio doors that lead out to a deck. A large feature wall provides plenty of natural light and views of the beautiful lake.
This lake home floor plan can be designed with three to six bedrooms and three to four bathrooms, depending on whether you add the optional finished basement. The main floor has a full master suite, with a walk-in closet and spa-like bathroom, and a private deck. A guest bathroom and laundry room are located off the attached three-stall garage. The upstairs has another bedroom and bathroom, along with a loft that opens to the great room below.
The optional finished lower level of this Lakehouse Floor Plan adds square footage, including up to three additional bedrooms, an extra bathroom, a storage area, a mechanical room, and a spacious family room. A walk-out wall connects the basement to the outdoors.
Like all of our timber frame and log home floor plans, this log cabin lake house plan is completely customizable. If you prefer a timber frame home design or a hybrid mix of both timber-frame and log home construction, we offer that. In addition, the layout of the Lakehouse Floor Plan can be flipped in any orientation to fit your property. As you design your lakefront home plan, you can add or remove prow walls, covered porches, lofts, garage stalls, and more. You can also add smart home technology to your lakehouse design to control lighting, have optimal security, and control the temperature.

| Can I make changes or customize the Lakehouse I floor plan to add some features that I would like? | |
| This is where we excel... All of our plans can be modified to meet your design goals. Every log and timber home we sell is custom tailored to your specific wants and needs. In fact, you could give us a hand drawn floor plan and we can engineer the plan specifically for you. Plans on our website are just starting points. Every home we sell ends up being a custom home. | |
| What Construction Styles are available for the Lakehouse I floor plan. | |
The Lakehouse I floor plan above is shown as a Traditional Log Home Package (square timbers, full/round-log, half/round-log, and more). However, we can also offer this plan as any of the following construction types (also referred to as packages):
|
|
| I like this floor plan. However, I would like it flipped the other way around. Can it be flipped? | |
| Absolutely! All of our floor plans are able to be flipped or rotated in any orientation to match the property, sun exposure, and your personal preferences. | |
| Can I remove the attached garage from this plan? | |
| Certainly! We can easily remove the attached garage from the Lakehouse I floor plan. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.) | |
| The Lakehouse I does not show a basement. Can I get this home with a basement (lower level)? | |
| Yes. Adding a basement is quite simple. And the added benefit of adding a basement is it increases your square footage with minimal cost. If you think about it, all you are doing is adding a little more to the foundation and a few support walls and you have nearly doubled the square footage. | |
| I like the Main Floor (first floor) of the Lakehouse I floor plan. But, I don't need a Loft (second floor) can I get a version without the loft (second floor)? | |
| Yes. We can easily remove the loft, second floor, or a mezzanine. Thereby, converting the home to a ranch style home. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.) | |
