"Home Designs that simply cannot be replicated"

When you choose Golden Eagle, you are not just choosing a floor plan - you are taking the first step toward your dream home.

We design breathtaking custom homes with character, beauty, and details you will not find anywhere else. Masterpieces that stop people in their tracks.

What sets us apart is what happens before anything is built. From the very beginning, we understand the structure, the materials, the products, and the functional intent behind every space. That matters more than most people realize.

A stunning kitchen, bathroom, mudroom, closet, or built-in has to do more than look beautiful - it has to work within the walls, windows, ceiling heights, log profiles, reference timbers, traffic flow, and overall character of the home. Because we created the plan and know every product being incorporated, we design those spaces to belong in the home - not get forced into it later.

Built for the buyer who is ready.

At Golden Eagle Log and Timber Homes, our custom floor plan design service is built for the serious homebuyer - someone who wants a home as unique as their lifestyle.

Custom design requires time, precision, and experience. That is why we charge an upfront design fee. It is also why that fee is fully credited toward the purchase of your Golden Eagle home - making it an investment from the very first drawing.

We dedicate this level of attention to buyers who are ready to build something extraordinary. If that is you, we are ready to get started.

One Company. One Vision

Most custom home projects involve multiple companies - one draws the floor plan, another designs the cabinetry, and someone else tries to make it all work together. The result is often a beautiful home that feels slightly disconnected from itself.

Golden Eagle is different. One company. One vision. From the floor plan and structure to the exterior details, interior finishes, and every selection in between - our team sees the entire picture. That means nothing gets forced, nothing gets lost in translation, and nothing feels like an afterthought.

The same people who design your home are the same people who help bring it to life.

The technical side - handled.

Building a custom home comes with layers of technical complexity that most homebuyers never see coming. Site-specific engineering, local building requirements, structural details - these are the things that can quietly derail a project when they are not managed from the start.

Our team works through all of it. From the earliest drawings to the final detailed plans, we make sure your home is designed for your specific site, your region's requirements, and your engineering needs. The goal is simple: you should feel organized, informed, and confident at every stage - not overwhelmed by details that are not your job to manage.

See it before you build it.

One of the hardest parts of designing a custom home is making confident decisions about things that do not exist yet. That is why we provide full 3D renderings of your home's exterior, interior, and cabinetry - so you can see exactly what you are building before a single beam goes up.

No guesswork. No crossed fingers. Just a clear, detailed picture of your future home - the way it looks, the way spaces connect, and the way your selections come together as a whole.

Every detail, expertly guided.

Designing a custom home means making hundreds of decisions - and the difference between a home that feels cohesive and one that feels scattered often comes down to how well those decisions work together.

Our Interior and Exterior Selection Service gives you expert guidance through all of it. Cabinet layouts, bathroom designs, mudrooms, closets, rec room bars, and built-ins. Exterior colors, roof colors, fascia, windows, stone textures, and log choices. Tongue-and-groove placement, drywall locations, interior doors, exterior doors - and everything in between.

These are not just finish selections. They are the details that make your home feel entirely and unmistakably yours.

Like our design drawing fee, there is a charge for this service - and like that fee, it is fully credited back toward the purchase of your Golden Eagle home.

Touch it. See it. Know it's right.

There is a difference between choosing a finish from a catalog and standing in front of it - feeling the texture, seeing how the color catches the light, understanding how it will live inside your home.

At our showroom in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, that is exactly what you get. A true one-stop experience where the materials, colors, textures, and finishes that will become part of your home are right in front of you. Not samples on a screen. Not swatches in a binder. The real thing.

And you will not be navigating it alone. Our team knows your floor plan, understands your design direction, and can show you exactly how each selection will come together in the finished home. That kind of guidance is rare - and it makes all the difference.

6,000 homes. One refined process.

After more than 6,000 successful custom homes, we have learned something important - the process matters just as much as the product.

We know how many decisions go into a custom home, and we know how to make those decisions feel manageable rather than overwhelming. For larger projects, we divide the selection process into exterior and interior phases, giving you the time and space to get each one right. When a home takes a year or more to build, there is no reason to finalize every cabinet detail on day one.

We start by getting the major decisions - like cabinet layouts - close to complete, then fine-tune the details as the project moves toward installation. It is a rhythm that keeps things moving without rushing the choices that matter most.

From the first line to the last detail.

Our process is thorough, flexible, and built around one goal - giving you confidence at every step.

From custom floor plans and technical design to 3D renderings, cabinetry layouts, exterior selections, and interior finishes, Golden Eagle brings it all together under one roof. One team. One vision. A smoother, more coordinated experience from the very first drawing to the moment you walk through the door.

This is what a custom home should feel like - not a series of disconnected decisions, but a single, thoughtful journey toward something built entirely for you.

This is what it means to build with Golden Eagle.

From the first line on a floor plan to the moment you walk through your front door, everything we do is designed to give you confidence, clarity, and a home that could not belong to anyone else. We handle the technical details, guide the design decisions, render the spaces before they are built, and bring it all together under one roof - with one team, one vision, and more than 6,000 homes worth of experience behind every choice we make. This is not just a building process. It is a partnership built around your dream - and we do not stop until it looks, feels, and lives exactly the way you imagined.

Lakeside Vacation Timber Home Floor Plan FAQs

What Construction Styles are available for the Lakeside Vacation Timber Home floor plan.
The Lakeside Vacation Timber Home floor plan above is shown as a Traditional Log Home Package (square timbers, full/round-log, half/round-log, and more). However, we can also offer this plan as any of the following construction types (also referred to as packages):
  • Ultra Custom Timber Package
  • Modern Mountain Series Package
  • Barndominium Series Package

I like this floor plan. However, I would like it flipped the other way around. Can it be flipped?
Absolutely! All of our floor plans are able to be flipped or rotated in any orientation to match the property, sun exposure, and your personal preferences.

Can I remove the attached garage from this plan?
Certainly! We can easily remove the attached garage from the Lakeside Vacation Timber Home floor plan. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

The Lakeside Vacation Timber Home does not show a basement. Can I get this home with a basement (lower level)?
Yes. Adding a basement is quite simple. And the added benefit of adding a basement is it increases your square footage with minimal cost. If you think about it, all you are doing is adding a little more to the foundation and a few support walls and you have nearly doubled the square footage.

I like the Main Floor (first floor) of the Lakeside Vacation Timber Home floor plan. But, I don't need a Loft (second floor) can I get a version without the loft (second floor)?
Yes. We can easily remove the loft, second floor, or a mezzanine. Thereby, converting the home to a ranch style home. (It may reduce the cost of the home as well.)

Can I make changes or customize the Lakeside Vacation Timber Home floor plan to add some features that I would like?
This is where we excel... All of our plans can be modified to meet your design goals. Every log and timber home we sell is custom tailored to your specific wants and needs. In fact, you could give us a hand drawn floor plan and we can engineer the plan specifically for you. Plans on our website are just starting points. Every home we sell ends up being a custom home.
